Monos Art: The Coming of the White Buffalo Energy
Inspired by the story of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman (Lakota people), the artist painted her message: “The earth and all life is sacred. Every step on the earth you take is holy and everbody has to be treated with deep respect. Then the White Buffalo Energy can bring abundance for everyone. Hear the drums of the White Buffalo Nation and hope will be on your site”.
Monos added 12 children of different cultures to emphasize the thought of cooperation.

Monos, which stands for “alone but whole” or “all in one” in Greek, already reveals the symbolism that the artist captures in her elaborate work.
Driven by an infinite creative energy, Monos’ paintings allow the viewer an insight in her spiritual experience of the celebration of life. Her paintings are the expression of her heart and soul which are deeply influenced by the spiritual and mystic journey she pursues in life. Monos started painting 25 years ago and her work gradually evolved to a more symbolic level, often merged with certain aspects of indigenous cultures and myths that strengthen the message of her work and also appeal to the imagination and spiritual growth of the observer. The extensive work Monos produced during her career has been exposed in many successful exhibitions. |
