Joyous Chee: Abraham and Why We are Here?
I was watching the Bonus DVD of Introducing Abraham: The Secret Behind "The Secret" recently which includes an extra conversation not featured in the main show... and something caught my "ears"...
The interviewer asked Esther Hicks, "Who is the most important influence to you?" and she pointed to her dear husband and said, "Jerry, certainly... a bad influence... (laughter)" It shows that the Hicks have a fine sense of humour, at least to me. 
Okay, that is not what I wanted to share, but actually what Jerry Hicks said in the interview about Louise Hay, boss of Hayhouse - the biggest publisher of spiritual books in the world. Apparently, she told the Hicks during a meet-up that Abraham is one of the best teachers in the world today. She also expressed to them that she would like to help bring Abraham out to the world in any way she can. Well, I think all teachers are important and there are many tremendous channels that I have benefited greatly from. But to some extent, I do agree that Abraham is one of the clearest teacher around.
Abraham has put it in a very interesting way why we are here. Well, for those who ponder a little more than usual. We know there are many perspectives of that. Depending on who you ask, some say that we return here because of bad karma. This idea, when not understood fully, makes some think that the Earth is a harsh school where you return to if you do not learn your lessons. Then, we have another perspective that suggests that the Earth plane is a stage of evolution where all souls pass through and Earth is the 3rd density/dimension, like 3rd grade and we eventually graduate to higher densities/dimensions. Yet another perspective says that we have all fallen into a big dream and ended up in an illusion (not unlike the Matrix movie) and imagine ourselves being separated when we all emanate from one.
In a way, I come to a realisation that the further you explore each perspective or school of thought, you find that they all lead back to the same destination (if there is one in the first place). It's like Head or Tail, they may seem different yet they are still the same coin. Like what many channels have mentioned, there are infinite universes, stars, civilisations, souls and I think even spiritual paths could be numerous and perhaps infinite.
After watching the main DVD the other day (see blog), I learnt a new perspective from Abraham on why we are here. I may not explain it very well but anyhow, it seems that we are here because the contrast available on the physical plane makes us have desires. When we have new desires, we want to manifest new creations and this keeps the All That Is expanding. This ties in very well with what Kryon has been saying. When we are on the other side (being non-physical), we literally queue up to come to Earth for what it offers. The Earth plane is not a punishment. Life is meant to be joyful and Earth can be a heavenly playground if we play it well.
Let me quote a passage from The New Relevations: A Conversation with God by Neale Donald Waslch:
Because That Which Is Divine also yearns to experience all of the individual aspects of its Divinity. It wishes to know Itself completely, experientially, and to expand and re-create itself anew - to become a larger and larger version of Itself - and the way that it does this is by entering the Realm of the Relative in Individuated Form (souls).
Divine Spirit emerges from The All as individual projections of The All, in order to have a total experience of All That Is through an endless multitude of distinctive expressions, which you rightly call the breathtaking Miracle of Life.
There are many teachers and paths. Each caters to individuals who resonate to different ideas. Although sometimes we wish there is only one way, yet try imagining a world where everyone uses the same textbook... I think you get the idea. All has a role to play until the day we learn to be our own teacher and master.
So what makes a good teacher? To me, the good teacher is one that empowers me to see my beliefs for what they really are and to make the choices that I truly want. Being each a piece of God, we can create literally anything, both seemingly "good" and "bad" and it is when we start to make only the choices that we really desire, then we start to create the Heaven right where we are - on Earth.
I am thankful to Abraham for reminding me this.
