Glows the Light Within
Sweet the silence
calming flickering thoughts
as the flame of my being
to a stillness comes
home to herself
In the silence
not proud is my heart
not haughty my eyes
in the stillness
Truly have I set my soul
in communion with my God
in the temple of my being
in silence and peace
Slowly, surely, glows the light within
like a child in it's mother's arms resting
so is my soul
glowing in God's gaze
singing God's glory
soaring spirit joy
