A cat, I am sure, could walk on a cloud without coming through
- Jules Verne

From the dawn of our known beginnings the cat had been revered for its agility, grace, independent spirit, fierce hunting skills and heightened awareness. We have revered the cat for its feminine sensuality, uncontained elegance and the sense of self love and appreciation that it shows us. There is also the familiar rumbling purr of a contented cat, or is it more than mere contentedness that stimulates a cat to purr? What if purring serves a valuable sonic purpose and the beautiful cat is actually much more than a sensitive companion? What if the cat is actually an ancient sound healer strategically placed in our very midsts?

I say privilege because make no mistake, a cat chooses you to be with and not the other way around.

At some point in our lives we may be given the privilege of the close contact with a feline, domesticated or otherwise. I say privilege because make no mistake, a cat chooses you to be with and not the other way around. Whether you are given a cat, or one turns up on your doorstep, or you make a carefully planned expedition to the local pet shop or cattery, it is the cat that has drawn you to it. You have been drawn in by the incredibly perceptive power of the cat to seek out frequencies which are in harmony with its unique talents as a sound healer.

We all emit an energy frequency on waves of sound and light that are picked up by like waves and either accepted or dismissed. This is what is meant by being “In Tune” or “In Sync” with someone or something. When we emit the frequency of desire for self love and healing in our lives the cat will pick up on this frequency and be drawn to us like a magnet.

We’ve all seen cases where a cat will be drawn to perhaps the one person in a room who says “I don’t like cats!” The cat will not leave this persons side, much to their dismay. This is the very person who can benefit from the cats healing sonic waves emitted when they have found a deep sound wave match. The cat will spend time brushing up alongside this person and purring as it does so letting off a vibration of tranquility and peace that will serve to balance the energy frequency of the person who is subconsciously seeking more love and acceptance in their life.

How many times has it been said that “If a cat likes you, you must be OK?” This is because you cannot pull the wool over cat’s eyes. They penetrate deep into the soul and see us for who we really are. Even the most hardened person’s outer shell is no match for a feline’s intuitive sense. They instinctively know when someone or something needs their special brand of vibrational healing.

Just being in the radius of a cat’s purring range gives us a very freeing and melodic feeling. We’ve all seen how a cat loves wandering through open cupboards and behind musty furnishings or squeezing into tight places. When your cat does this, give them the utmost thanks as they are “hard at work” shifting and clearing the energy frequency of your home to bring it into harmony. Allow them to get on with their work instead of scolding them for being in these places. This is part of their job. They love cleaning up stale energy and transmuting it into a higher vibe with their sonic sweeping purr waves.
