Sinue’s Fireplace Chats: My Spiritual Journey Begins…
TAGS:  •   •

Thanks to Lee and Chee, I’m truly honored to be invited to start a column in their first online metaphysics magazine. I wish for people who read this column to feel as if they are chatting with me in a cozy corner of a room and just next to a fireplace. Thus, the name Sinue’s Fireplace Chats.

To be absolutely honest, I really had my doubts about metaphysics in the beginning as it sounded a little impossible to me.

My short metaphysics learning journey began around 2005, when a friend also began his. I kind of like to tag along. I started reading Kryon’s series of books, though I’ve really only read two or three of them. Although I continued to read a couple more other books, I relied more on browsing websites online (I must mention Maitreya website which I really liked, as the Master’s teaching is easy to understand) and participating in forums. That was where I learnt more about metaphysics and spirituality. Eventually it led me to my growing interest in crystals and to even take up Reiki I and II.

To be absolutely honest, I really had my doubts about metaphysics in the beginning as it sounded a little impossible to me. On one hand, I was thinking, “What a load of crap, how can you create your own reality just by thinking about it? What, money comes to you just because you manifest it?” Yet, on the other hand, a part of me seemed to want to believe in it and kept persuading me to continue unveiling and unraveling this mystery.

I used to be frustrated with my life and my job, felt that my life was a mess, did not really have a lot of love for people around me, hated my mother and worried a lot about my financial situation. Thanks to my metaphysics learning journey, I have since become more spiritually aware. I have learned to take a step back to look at things from a different perspective, to think positively, place my worries aside and manifest my own reality. For instance, I used to worry so much about earning enough to support my household and personal expenses, and my parents’ allowances and medical bills. Almost half the time I’m unhappy about my life because I could not afford to have any savings. I started to worry about my future and the fact that I will not achieve financial stability somehow.

After learning about how thoughts can become reality, I tried to ‘recreate’ my situation. First of all I had to stop worrying. I began spending on things I feel worth spending on. I began to reward myself by buying things I feel I deserve. I send my parents to the best doctor without worrying about their medical bills. I tried living a life as though I have financial abundance. You might ask me, "so what are the results?". Well, my salary increased, bonuses came at appropriate times and my financial load was lightened with the help of my siblings. I’m happier because I no longer have to sacrifice my wants and my savings has grown rather significantly ever since. I then realize that we just need to have faith and keep negative thoughts to the minimal and pleasant things will gradually take form.

If I can create my own reality, so can you!

Sharing is the first step forward

Hi, I think Chee has found the right person to write the column. Your experiences has great impact on others and that includes myself, where my first encounter of "metaphysic" (not a clue what that was at that time, just felt the familiarity in the words) was from a book given to me as a gift 10 years ago. It was like something being hidden in the closet and you help to lift it out and put it to light. Thank you for sharing and do continue to share with more people you feel comfortable with. Keep it up and I will be reading your column for more insights into life.
