1. How did you get involved with metaphysics?
I would describe it as a gradual process. As a starting point, I always have an open mind, my friends actually call me “infinite inquisitive”!
My professors in medical school probably didn’t quite enjoy their teaching sessions with me asking too many disturbing questions, as I would constantly challenge the status quo, see limitations of the Western medical approach, and ask for better alternatives. Having an open mind, I soon came to explore the field of complementary and alternative medicine, and saw the potential in that. Even though many people would think that’s already a long way for a Western trained medical doctor, it was really straight forward to me, and again, I was even questioning whether simply replacing a drug with a herb was good enough. What was really happening inside the body – how could we as medical doctors really bring about healing?
One important point in my life was certainly my time in Bangkok some 10 years ago, where I stayed for almost 3 months, working as a medical student in a hospital. I was first attracted by the temples and then fascinated by the teachings of Buddhism. I guess this was the beginning of my studies into spirituality, and I got a first glance about reincarnation - past, current and future lives.
Over the years, my understanding about the union of body, mind, emotions and spirit evolved. And I came to understand that there is much more to health and disease, and to the healing of the body, the mind, the emotions, and ultimately, healing of the soul and from the soul, or from spirit.
Pushing the boundaries and going beyond the obvious, I then explored more into modalities such as “energy healing”, and finally my latest and currently most exciting endeavor - a past life regression modality called “Soul Journey”.
2. Could you tell us briefly what prompted you to turn to full-time metaphysical work?
So far, I had quite a varied career indeed – basically, I have covered each and every sector within the health care industry, as a medical doctor, a manager in hospital administration, a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, biotech, medical devices, and even in the government. I sometimes say kiddingly: “I have seen it all” -- and I know better than ever what I want and what I don’t want, what are my options and where I can add the most value.
Western medicine certainly has its place and importance but I believe I can contribute much more to any individual client as well as society (some may call it the “awakening process”, based on the collective consciousness) by following my calling and passion for alternative or spiritual healing. The past year 2007 was a life changing year for me – my own spiritual growth happened in such an accelerated pace, and my insights into that connection of body, mind, emotions, and spirit as well as the approach I had to choose was giving me loud and clear directions. “Follow your bliss” is something we are often told – that’s what I’m doing!
3. Was there a sign from Spirit that you were on the right track?
There were many signs – I strongly believe nothing in our lives happens by accident or coincidentally; all those things that happened to me within the last year, all the books I read, every person I met, everything I learned... all that was without any doubt being brought to me for a reason - and I am most grateful for all of it!
