Kerrie Guy: Friendship with God
TAGS:  •   •
In this issue, Kerrie Guy tries to put her friendship with God into a poem.

First thing each morning when I wake

I say ‘God morning God’ I don’t hesitate

God and I speak as friends

On His voice I can depend

To me God is neither He nor She

Her guiding words always comfort me

God is constant God is whole

My problems to God I give control

God knows how to handle them best

But surrendering to God is the big test

Every morning as we chat

I tell Her exactly where my life’s at

God listens to my every word

His response tells me I’m clearly heard

God gives me answers loud and clear

She assures me I have nothing to fear

God tells me things are going as planned

If my experience of life I am to expand

He tells me all things are perfectly fine

Especially if I learn to disregard time

Time, God said is a manmade tool

Designed for structure in earth school

She says it’s not completely necessary

And that frequently it becomes an adversary

God always hears my thoughts and knows my every question

But for Him to advise me I must first ask for God’s suggestion

She knows when I am in confusion

And tries to direct my from its illusion
