Our human words and limiting perspective do not allow us to fully understand the spiritual realm which we return to after death. Generally, it is described that death is a liberating experience. In Aaron's words:
Q: What does it feel like to die?
A: It is the way you feel when you have stayed underwater just a bit too long. You emerge into the fresh, sweet air that fills your lungs with gladness, and into the sun’s warmth, which fills spirit with light.
- Aaron (channeled by Barbara Brodsky)
Many spiritual teachers have emphasized that death is merely a transition. It is a shedding of our physical body, but our consciousness is eternal and lives on. The spiritual realm that we return to after death is more like our true home. At the point of death, we are often met by our guides, who usually appear in a form that is familiar and comforting to assist with the transition.
As the soul moves on, it is generally described that you will move to a plane which matches your current vibrations. You may spend some time healing from any traumas during death, and after being reinvigorated, you will review your life with your guardian. It is at this time that we often judge ourselves and we may plan for those lessons/experiences to be learned again.
