Ancient Egyptian Rain Alchemy

By Elisabeth Jensen

There was no thought of falling into despair and restricting use of water in Ancient Egypt if drought set in – and of course much of Egypt always has been desert. Except in very early Egypt before recorded history (about 50,000years ago) when it was all green and fertile and it was then the Alchemy practiced was very pure and highly effective.

In the time we call Ancient Egypt much of the knowledge was lost and like religion today had become more traditional practice – but still its magic was highly regarded and the knowledge and blessings of the priestesses who practiced Alchemy and Magic were highly sought after.

The Temple High Priests and Priestesses weren’t there to serve the general public though – their role was to work with the ENERGY of the Divinities to create a state of Ma-at and thus Egypt would exist in a state of balance, safety and harmony. All of life was organized by the use of magic spells – not to hurt or harm as many see spells doing but to ensure rain at the right time, that the Nile River would flood then recede as needed.

Both the Priest/esses and general public practiced Sympathetic Magic – by acting out a ritual e.g. to create rain it would involve seeing, meditating, praying, doing ceremony with the elemental beings and the divinities and visualizing rain would occur. Think about our sympathetic magic practices –Watch TV and they are saying-“ look there’s a drought on we must all restrict water , not use a drop that’s unnecessary, let our plants and lawn die our houses and foundations crack” …Most spiritual people feel this is the correct thing to do but its really quite damaging !

In Egypt it was practice to work with elemental fire beings to protect tombs from harm – it didn’t always work in later Egypt but it did in early Egypt and it worked on a spiritual level still in later times. They were practical and resouceful people these Egyptians who realized the great and complex mummification processes were really a spiritual ritual to ensure survival of the soul in the glorious company of Ra the Sun God. Physical preservation was best but it was the ritual of Mummification and the ceremonies in the tombs that worked the necessary magic.

So they weren’t going to do a ritual saying all was lost, the body was dead and the spirit and soul had lost their battle – lets all fall into despair, leave the body to dry out n the hot sun and be eaten by the wild animals. The death rituals were those of hope and preparation for a far more exciting future in other realms.

So I do believe if we all sat in our gardens for ten minutes a day each and did this greatly simplified version of Egyptian Rain Alchemy the situation of our drought would be resolved. I have done several rain meditations – in December 2006 and mid January 2007 with quite dramatic effects But WE ALL need to learn to do these processes ourselves.

CREATING RAIN
Sit in a quiet spot outside near some bushes or trees. Call in your Guardian Angels the Divinities Maat, Hapi (God of The Nile and water) and Hapi the water elemental, Isis the Mother Goddess and The Fire, Earth and Air Elemental beings and the Faeries.

Place a small bowl of tap water on the grass or ground and place your hands above it. Ask for blessings and all your healing energies to flow into the water and ask for the Fairy Folk to bless this water. Call upon all the Angels and gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt and thank the fire elementals for all their recent efforts but they need to rest for a while. Call upon the God Hapi plus the water elementals and air elementals. Tell them we want rain now please. Ask them and visualize them all like excited little faeries forming into great clouds of water then pouring down upon your garden, home and Australia. See the earth open in to receive the rain and all the nature spirits and plants so happy.

Finally see the water in the bowl expanding and pouring out over the edge of the bowl and keep visualizing all your garden moist and nurtured by this ever expanding flow of water from your little bowl. Leave the water there till the next day , then tip it on the ground and start afresh

Finally thank all the Divinities, Angels, Faeries and water elementals for their assistance. Thank the Goddesses Maat and Isis and know they can bring us rain and harmony in our lives IF we remember to ask them and give simply our gratitude in return.
