As the editor of Cosmic Lighthouse, it is my "job" to read and review tons of materials in order to select the articles that form the content of the magazine issues. I am not suggesting that you have to read a lot to be very spiritual but somebody has to do this work for the magazine.
Recently, Eileen, a lady representing Dr Michael Sharp, wrote to us to ask if we would like to work with them. Not having heard of them before, I have to go through their website to see what they are about. While looking promising, I am still not too sure what special value they have to offer, so I read their free ebook, The Great Awakening: Concepts and Techniques for Successful Spiritual Practice as well. You should realise by now we go to great length in order to pick the content. It is by reading this free ebook that I realise I have found a very interesting author with a humorous and dynamic way of presenting metaphysical ideas in an easy to understand manner. Believe me, this is a rare talent.
What happened next is that I have enjoyed his free ebook to want to purchase another of his ebooks, The Book of Light: The Nature of God, the Structure of Consciousness, and the Universe Within You. In short, the book presented a very plausible look at how creation unfolded. So many books have attempted to explain this, including scores of religious text, however the cool thing Dr Michael Sharp did is to put together a believable story which makes sense. I will leave it to your own further judgement but personally, I found that I still want more from him.
So, I bought the next ebook, The Book of Life: Ascension and the Divine World Order. I think the title explains itself. It is very much about explaining ascension. Similarly, Dr Michael Sharp has continued to present a plausible unifying theory above the confusions behind spirituality, metaphysics and the new age movement.
I am not making a claim that Dr Michael Sharp has found the ultimate truth. The fact is that he has probably raised more questions than answer them and he also did not back up his claims with rigorous research or supporting evidence. He simply presented his truth as it is. This approach may actually work to his advantage and make his writings more reader-friendly anyway. Nevertheless, I find Dr Michael Sharp unpretentious and he is really more interested in empowering the readers than making a guru out of himself.
