Change: The Key Word for our Times

Change is everywhere you look: globally, nationally, locally in our communities, and then most importantly, internally, you are being changed to your core. I believe that now, more than ever before, that change is the key word and concept for our times.

In my psychotherapy practice, as well as in my personal life, I have been discovering some great energy tools for dealing effectively with change, ones that help us to remain balanced, enjoy the process as much as possible, and use the energy of change constructively.

Are You on Change Overload?

One of my clients recently said she felt like she was on “change overload” and shared the changes she has been going through: problems with her husband have had her considering separation and divorce; her doctor told her the pain symptoms she has been experiencing are still a mystery, with no known cause; her father has been in treatment for cancer and is not doing well; and her position at work is in jeopardy. She said she felt like she was constantly just trying to “keep up with everything” and feeling like she was falling behind in most ways.

Can you relate? I sure can, even with all the great tools I have to use myself and to share with my clients. One of the things that helped this client and may help you is to make a deal with yourself to “step up” your connection to your Source (God) and to add some new tools to your “change toolkit.” One of those tools could be the use of “intentional music.”

Intentional Music for Change and Challenges

Intentional music is a term I coined and it means to mindfully choose music with the intent to use that music to assist you in some way: for healing, for growth, or to make shifts in your subconscious mind.

For me, music is a way for me to hear God speaking to me. Sometimes we don’t hear God’s voice very clearly. We get caught up in our day-to-day activities, checking off things on our “to do” list, and leaving little time for listening to messages from Spirit. We may then experience life-changing lessons to wake us up and get us back on track.
