Kris: We wish you a most pleasant and warm welcome.

You have had most interesting perspectives. You have shared of yourselves today, and you have enjoyed the company of others.

We wish in our humble way to add to your day by speaking about the joy of being and that, as strange as it may seem, there are some people who do not know what being is or what joy is. And these appear in your lives in a variety of fashions, often because they reflect your own inner experiences.

There are times when you experience some small moments of joy and you understand the nature of being. But it often escapes you and sometimes rather quickly, especially over the last year.

It seems that people are reserved in their giving, receiving and exchanging of joy because you are told by either the media or others that now is a time of graveness and seriousness and you must watch out, you must guard yourselves in case you are bombed, you are sniped at, you are mugged, you are beaten or bitten, if the mosquito is big enough!

Is it perhaps to awaken deep within you that joyous state (within yourself) or reminding yourselves that, first and foremost, you are eternal, immortal consciousness, that your source of being is beyond the confines or the parameters of time and space, that you exist truly in another continuum -- one that is timeless, one where the simplest of thoughts can create the most joyous and celebrated moments?

And that your joy of living and being yourselves slowly trickles away from you as if you had a leak without your notice. And you awaken one day in a somber or foul state of mind and you have forgotten who you are and instead have accepted to be what others expect you to be in so many ways.

Understandably, you play many roles in society. You are a father, you are a mother, you are a lover, you are a friend, you are a teacher and so many other roles that you play. You wear the masks and the hats, and once you get accustomed to the roles, you forget that you have decided to wear masks or a hat, take on the role; and your sense of joy at being yourself has slipped away, and you wonder where the spontaneous, impulsive nature of life has gone, and you say, “I have grown old”.

Now, we are much older than all of you combined and yet you will not find us wondering where have put ourselves, what we have done with any of our personalities.

We hope that in some small way we can rekindle your sense of joy at being yourselves. Now, some of you and some other people may say, “He must be a crazy old ghost to dare talk about being joyous in these dire times” -- again, where you can be bombed or shot at. And it seems through the venue of the media that could happen right on the corner here, waiting for you. And it seems that you buy into it hook, line and sinker because there is more of it all of the time.

You may have forgotten what the sixties were all about where it seemed that every moment you were under the threat of nuclear annihilation. You could be bombed or attacked by any other hostile nation.

Now, it seems these times are revisited once again to do what? Why have you brought yourselves into this probable reality where you have to deal with these conditions again? Is it perhaps to awaken deep within you that joyous state (within yourself) or reminding yourselves that, first and foremost, you are eternal, immortal consciousness, that your source of being is beyond the confines or the parameters of time and space, that you exist truly in another continuum -- one that is timeless, one where the simplest of thoughts can create the most joyous and celebrated moments?

That is indeed where you have your roots. The human being has often been compared to an iceberg where barely one-third floats above the waterline and the balance floats underneath.

If you ever get the chance to find pictures of icebergs floating in the high Arctic as it comes down the Labrador coast, and especially those pictures that show you what exists under the surface, to get an inkling that there is so much more to yourselves and your being than you could possibly surmise. And because you are timeless, immortal and eternal consciousness, even the total description of the iceberg cannot completely define you, but only as your syntax and neurological structure can allow.

Above and beyond that, you are so much more, which means that you have so much more capacity to create joy and abundance in your lives than you can possibly imagine unless, of course, you are afraid to imagine that you can have joy and abundance in your existence.

So that is not a philosophical question, it is one we are asking each one of you to answer for yourselves. Why you are withholding joy in your existence?

You have the ability to create numberless scenarios which fill your daily moments on a perpetual basis but it seems that most of you are more apt at creating serious questions, serious situations. And yet all of that needs joy to be realized.
