During one of her meditations the artist had a powerful vision. Standing on the edge, she glanced into the abyss. She saw a cord going on to the other side and felt fear coming up. An angel appeared on her left side and said ‘I am Faith’, taking her by the arm. On her right side another angel came and said : ‘I am Trust’.

Smoothly and fearlessly, she walked to the other side. She felt an overwhelming love and from that moment as Faith and Trust accompany her every day. The eagle refers to our higher self which has a view over the past, present and future.

About the Artist

Monos, which stands for “alone but whole” or “all in one” in Greek, already reveals the symbolism that the artist captures in her elaborate work.

Driven by an infinite creative energy, Monos’ paintings allow the viewer an insight in her spiritual experience of the celebration of life. Her paintings are the expression of her heart and soul which are deeply influenced by the spiritual and mystic journey she pursues in life.

Monos started painting 25 years ago and her work gradually evolved to a more symbolic level, often merged with certain aspects of indigenous cultures and myths that strengthen the message of her work and also appeal to the imagination and spiritual growth of the observer.

The extensive work Monos produced during her career has been exposed in many successful exhibitions.
