As Cosmic Lighthouse is based in Singapore, we have been to most of the various new age, healing or spiritual centres here. However, there is something different with a place tuck in a corner of Singapore's bustling city centre. Faeries' Retreat stands out as a very young and energetic place. As we stepped through the doors, we felt like we are entering a dream-like space where children would like to run around and play. We joined in, ran around and managed to catch up with the young ladies who run this place for a short and informal interview

1. We understand that you gals are only in your early twenties. You could perhaps be the youngest owners of a new age centre anywhere. What gave you the courage to start a centre at such a young age?
Faeries' Retreat (FR): Actually, we are in our mid-twenties! Maybe the faeries’ energies in our space have kept us looking young haha. The desire to help ourselves & others find fun & happiness in our lives definitely gave us inspiration & determination.
Cosmic Lighthouse (CL) Comments: But the girls look like they are only in their early twenties!
2. What are the other dynamics between your relationships? How are decisions made?
FR: Mainly through a democratic voting system… plus loads of emotions, opinions, debates etc. Basically, LOUDEST voice reigns!
CL: We hope they mean singing?! And we wonder who has the loudest voice?
3. What made you decide on the name "Faeries' Retreat"? Are there fairies hanging around your place literally?

Introduction (16 mins 48 secs)
Margaret and Alan McElroy were back in Singapore to do channelings of Maitreya, Sister and Grey Deer on 31 October 2007. We are pleased to share with you the video recordings of the event at RELC Auditorium.
What do you feel are the criteria of a New Age Hub?
What do you feel are the criteria of a New Age Hub?
For me the question of a “New Age Hub” sounds too much like a fashion statement. There is nothing “New Age” about the philosophies and therapies being offered; just old wine in new skins.
Is Singapore too serious for New Age?
Perhaps conservative would be a better term; Eastern cultures come with their own traditional teachings and however cosmopolitan the average Singaporean may consider himself, when it comes to his spirituality, most tend to go back to their original roots.
On 11th April 2007, Margaret and Alan McElroy did a deep trance channeling evening in Singapore, at RELC Auditorium.
Margaret channeled Maitreya and Sister, while Alan channeled Grey Deer. There was also a very interesting Q & A session with Maitreya at the end. Here are the videos of the evening:
